Can we still SLI 2 cards carrying different memory sizes? (4GB + 2GB)

Yes, but will only use the equal 2GB

I heard NVidia disabled Coolbits a bit ago.
Is there a special step I have to do to make that SLI work, or will the NVidia drivers auto detect the 4GB and scale it to match the 2GB.

Should just load up, would put the 2GB card as the lead card (closest to CPU)

I did it about three weeks ago with 760s

I AM currently using 1 760.
I was planning on using an SLI 760 setup for games that could use the speed, and games that don't support SLI with the 4GB one.
I think I'll skip the 28nm 800s and wait for the 900s
