Can the Corsair CX600M handle the MSI R9 280, or should I go for the EVGA SuperNova Nex, which is more expensive.

EVGA: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-120g1065...

I don't plan on doing any crossfire in the future, I'm planning on overclocking my cpu a little bit, which is the i5 4690k.

could not find a review on the evga 650 but it nmay be the same as its biger brother 750

''EVGA trusted FSP with their smaller SuperNova units, and they, to be more specific, utilized their Aurum platform. Definitely not the platform we would use for a PSU that belongs to a high-end series and one that has to compete with pretty advanced opponents, since the Aurum platform, although it combines low production cost with high efficiency, exhibits low performance in situations where the load on the rails is highly unbalanced ''

cx600m
'' Finally, all filtering caps in the secondary side are from CapXon and are rated at 105°C. We would like to see caps of a higher quality here, at least Teapo ones, but doing so would apparently raise the unit's overall cost significantly.

Corsairs CX/VS Line of PSUs have bad capacitors that short out relatively quickly, So go with the EVGA one.
