Are my temperatures normal?

I feel like they're a little higher than normal. My i7-4790k is cooled by an H100i with stock speeds at about 36-40C on idle. My R9 290x Twin Frozr runs at 40-48C on idle, but for some reason goes a bit above 50C while watching videos? These are pretty new, so I don't think it's the dust. Ambient temperature is at around 28-30C

There absolutely fine temps. As long as they don't go over 70-80 you will be fine.

Hope this helps :)

Yes, it seems normal.

Bear in mind that the components (CPU and GPU) has to get a little hotter to kick additional cooling into action. it's also a factor of your ambient temperature.

Thanks, I got a little nervous because of all those people with sub 30C idle temps.

With ambient temperature 28-30C, you are doing absolutely amazing., Remember, there is no active cooling, it just moves that 28-30C air to exchange heat. And there is a certain inefficiency in that. If you want lower temperatures, move to the North pole, or wait for winter. :)

I'd pick the North pole ;)
