I met someone who is willing to trade his brand new MSI R9 280X for my Asus GTX 760 + $30. Should I do it?

I currently have a 500W PSU with an i5 4670 K (not OCd), an SSD, and an HDD with 2x4GB RAM. I think it should be enough, but I would love some feedback!

Personally I like the 760.
It's quieter and cooler than the oven that is an AMD card.

the 280x is definitely far superior to the 760 so its up to you. if you need the extra performance in games it is more than worth it. unless of course you need nvidias exclusive features.

A 760 can max everything at 1080p really, so unless you're okay with the noise, heat, and/or use a higher res monitor, you can take the 280X.

Right about the time you realize that Adaptive VSync would fix your mouse lag issues is when your regrets would set in. (Of course it could be any number of scenarios involving PhysX, TXAA, HBAO+, Geforce Experience, Shadowplay, etc., but you get the point.)
