Wanted to ask you fellow Brits on what broadband provider you're with and experience with them...
I'm currently with Virgin Media, paying £50 a month for 20mb broadband & phone... Yes £50 for 20mb. Only thing is, they've got a bit of a monopoly on their hands... I don't believe any other providers offer fiber in my area other than Virgin, but if i want to upgrade to 60mb, they want and EXTRA £20 a month. Not happening. Oh, and i'm currently getting about 3mb... Not 20. And their traffic usage capping is ridiculous!
Now, i'm prepared to change provider for regular broadband as i'm not paying £50 and to just show Virgin Media they can go f**k them selves. So what provider are you with, and what's your experience with your package?

Well when your contract period is close to ending I would ask them for a better deal. The current deal is telephone line + 50mb for 31.49 (cheaper than that for new customers for a period).

I suffered with the 'new customers only' thing for a while. I had to cancel in the end because of needing to cut back every penny. Before I cancelled though they were ringing up frequently to make me a better offer. I would been happy to accept but I did not want to sign another 18 month contract.
