Buying GA-X79-UP4, wondering if i7 4820k will be compatible

The title pretty much says it all, I've heard you need to flash your bios, also heard that didn't work, any thoughts?

if your board ships with a bios under f4 your screwed unless you got a supported chip for the bios it came with to boot to flash it up to f4 for that 4820

GA-X79-UP4 (rev. 1.1) at least make sure you get the rev.1.1 and not rev.1.0 and i dont think you will have a problem! most probably this rev.1.1 surfaced to deal with these compatability issues with the newer cpu!
