Hey! I've had my laptop for about 2 years now and even though when i bought it, I wasn't into gaming yet, I started playing a lot of games a couple months ago and my pc has been overheating a lot. I can run every game basically when i do the test but i'm not sure my pc can support it since i cant play for over 20minutes on low settings without overheating. I have the budget to get a new computer but I was wondering if there was anything I could do to game on it instead of buying a new one. Here are the specs of my pc!

Processor : Intel Core i5-3210M CPU @ 2.50 GHz
RAM : 6gb
GPU : AMD Radeon HD 7670M

Not bad, but you could build one better.

If you can build it, building one will always better then going with one of the vendors like ibuypower or cyberpower. First off they are a buisnes so they have to charge 200-400 premium to pay overhead on it. Secondly on anyuthing you dont specify they go cheap on. My work got some cyberpower pc computers and they had cheap psus and cheap fans in them.

The PSU would be a 600W SL-8600EPS
No info on fan though

Do you think it would still be worth. As I said in another thread, I really cannot build it

That power supply is absolute garbage, if it even outputs 500w it will be for the 2 seconds before it fries everything.

If you have to have to do a prebuilt, then at least customize it straight from the website.

For power supplies you want something that is at least 80+ bronze rated from seasonic, xfx, antec, corsair (not cx series), or rosewill hive/capstone. The 80+ brozne means it has both been tested that it can output the full quoted power, and can do 50% load at no less then 85% efficiency. The ones listed above will also have good under/over voltage protection.

NZXT Phantom 240 Gaming Case
Intel® Core™ i7-4790 Processor (4x 3.60GHz/8MB L3 Cache)
16 GB [8 GB x2] DDR3-1600 Memory Module
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 - 2GB
1 TB HARD DRIVE -- 32M Cache, 7200 RPM, 6.0Gb/s

Here is the parts I'm pretty sure about but then there's stuff I'm not quite sure. Here are screenshots I would really appreciate the help.

Noise reduction, dont know what they do so dont get it, You can get quiter fans for better then that if that is what they do.

Cooling: if doing serrious overclocking then go with the corsair h60, if doing mild to no overclock the liquid cooling is a waste, go with coolermaster hyper 212 evo air cooler.
EDITED: you have the non-overclock cpu so there is no need for a water cooled setup, go with the 212 evo air cooler suggested above.

Mobo: the crossfire is for amd cards only so go with the sli/crossfire section.
Choose whichever one of these three best fits your budget: asus z97-a, asrock z97x, asrock z97 extreme 3)

PSU: Not really any good choices there, the most decent one is the corsair rm750, ocz and thermaltake are not that great.

OS: this is completley user prefernce, some people like the new windows 8.1 and some people despise it. If not needing any advanced network features or data security features odds are you dont need pro/ultimate versions.

Ok looks like they go straight from stock intel fan to liquid cooling with no air cooler options.
You could stick with stock fan since you are not overclocking and if necessary we could guide you through installing the air cooler I advised earlier. If you wanted to just have them put in a better cooler then get the Corsair H60.

For motherboards, any of the three I listed above are good for you ( ASROCK FATALITY Z97X, ASUS Z97-A, ASROCK Z97 Extreme 3), the cheaper Extreme 3 will more then suit your needs.
