Mine by a long shot and here's why:
1. No need for the cooler master cpu cooler as you don't have an unlocked CPU but this could come in handy so its not really that bad
2.Motherboard with z97 chipset using a cpu with locked multiplier -> wasting money
3. ddr3 2400 memory just adds to the price and you gain no performance increase...
4. No ssd in your build
5. Graphics card is slower than what i chose and its an overpriced model
6. Raidmax make HORRIBLE psu's and might crash and burn along with the whole system.
7. DVDrw? its supposed to be portable - http://bootableusb.net/make-bootable-external-hdd-install-windows-78/

The prodigy is also bigger than the EVGA case.

Forgot to mention i only do the build. Additional accessories like monitor, keyboard, headphones are a different story and i suggest you buy the desktop for 1000$ and then add accessories so you have a great running machine rather than cramming everything into the 1k price pool.

If you're not confortable with visiting a friend to prepare windows on a USB flash or external HDD then:

Buy a dvdrw , the cheapest one you find, install the OS with the case open and then remove it. Its not good for much else anyway
