Hi,

I assembled a PC for the first time, however it is not booting. What I see is a sequence of LED blinks - DRAM - VGA - CPU - DRAM - VGA - CPU - DRAM - VGA - BOOT DEVICE LED (this one stays lit). There see no display. I have connected a display port to a monitor, however I am not even reaching the POST stage so I don't feel this is a display issue. However, seeing the display would help me in debugging the issue. The CPU fans start running as I power on the system and once the boot device led lights up, they slow down.

Configs:
Asus Z97 - AR
Memory - DDR3 1600MHz, 3x8GB
Processor. i74790k (I have not attempted any overclocking)
PCIe wifi adapter (I tried unplugging it, but to no benifit)
256GB SSD
2TB HDD
750W Kingwin ABT 750mm
No GPU

I even tried doing a jump start (plug the connector in 1-2 pins to 2-3 pins when the system is turned off and unplugged, then wait for few minutes and then plug it back and restart), however this did not help either.

I have not disconnected the HDD/SDD till now, I am clueless what next should I try. Any suggestions?

edit: my hard disks do not contain any OS and are completely empty

I fixed the issue, actually it wasn't an issue, everything was perfect, the monitor was on analog mode, while the input expected was digital

First off your system needs some serious cable management. I'm betting that something keeps getting unplugged because one cable gets in the way of another and something is getting obstructed - possibly one of your SATA cables (primary boot drive must always be plugged into SATA-0) keeps getting unplugged and is causing your system to not boot.

in the manual I can see there is SATA6G_1, SATA6G_2,SATA6G_3,SATA6G_4,SATA6G_5,SATA6G_6 , I removed the SSD and connected the HDD to SATA6_1, I am still observing the same pattern, also I don't have an OS in any of the devices
