Hi All, got a strange on for you. System :- FM2A55M-HD+, AMD A6-6400K APU at 4.09 Ghz, 12gig DDR3, Kingston 240gig SSD on boot, AHCP mode, 1T other drive and a DVD Rom. This system will on most startups hang at the windows loading screen, the moving logo bit. If I reset it will sometimes start okay. Same with a power cycle and a windows restart. So I'm presuming, maybe wrongly, its not software. Its a pain as you know how many times windows reboots on installation. I have installed the software that comes with it, it did a bios update sucessfully, and updated its drivers okay to. Its just annoying that it hangs about 50% of the time, whether cold or warm boot.
I have tried Windows XP, 7 and 8.1, same problem. Is it just to fast?
Any ideas please?

Why would being too fast cause windows to "hang". No, I can guarantee thats not it.

Based on the symptoms...
90% chance its your PSU. Does it "hang" anytime ever after succesfully booting into Windows... maybe a few hours after you've been using the PC? Particularly while under load? Its going to be either a PSU thats gone faulty or 1 of your ram chips are bad... I can damn near guarantee it based on what you're telling me.

Totally Agree. In order of likelyhood its almost always PSU > RAM > Mobo.

All of these garbage bronze psus and people buying em cuz their cheap doesnt help.
