I need to build a PC (well, I'm not building it... my friend is!) that is good enough to play any of these games, maybe not all (haven't decided) but a combination of these:

DayZ
MineCraft
CoD
Sims 3
RIFT games (RIFT KIT 2)

I will be recording these gameplay videos and uploading to YouTube. For the RIFT, it wouldn't be crazy games.. just some horror games for some funny (hopefully) reaction shots. Again, I'll probably just play a few of these not ALL of them as I know that would kill the computer.. and or be very expensive!

My budget - Under $600. IS THIS EVEN POSSIBLE? I just need to know the parts. I do need an OS.

Thanks for your time !!!!

Solution
Here is my build! Hope you like it, everyone. Suggestions and questions are welcome. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/hjKYmG
What do you think, TiffersNeedsHelp? This includes the best possible GPU you can afford, which means it will perform the best in games out of any build that has been suggested. The i3 is more than capable of running it perfectly. :)

I really like this build, if she lives in the US.
I would choose an i3 4130 and a B85 or H81 motherboard, though. :)

On the high end yes. Generally more bang for you're buck when spending LOT of money on processors. AMD is great for an introductory build as it is cheaper with processors topping out in price around $300-$400, and AMD is VERY good for over clocking on. The world record of 8.4Ghz is currently held by an FX8150. In the current FX generation, AMD processors consume more power than their intel counterparts. More power consumption=more heat produced, which requires more sophisticated cooling. No 60MM fan is going to cool a processor with a 220W TDP.

everyone keeps putting amds into the builds go with intel this core i3 4360 of my build im telling you because of my experience i have amd with r9 270x and my system gets bottlenecked when i try to play some of the games you put in the description (mainly dayz) dont get tricked by the cores this core i3 its a dual core with hyperthreading and virtual cores which makes him compete with any amd fx or athlon

there are intels at this price that can perform as weel even better then most high end amds like the i3 4360 that performs in gaming near a core i5 4440

Thats not really true. A 6300 could totally deal with a GTX770 or 780.

just like you are saying a gtx 770 or 780 it can handle high end cards without bottlenecking much but when it comes to low or medium range cards it lacks on single core performance(which is in this times more important when it comes to gaming) and on architecture since visheras is far behind haswell look for gaming benchmarks and you will see how the core i3 4360 totally beats the fx 6300
