Well i have installed a FX 8320 in my PC and it worked well.. But I went to the task manager and it showed that the cpu has 4 logic processors and 2 cores. But I saw a video of a fx 8350 and in task manager showed 8 logical processors and 4 cores so I started to look in Google how to activate all cores and many people said that they did it by deactivating "numproc" in msconfig and restarting... So I did it but when the windows logo appeared .. A blue screen of dead showed with the error:BAD_SYSTEM_CONFIG_INFO and windows never worked again.. So I asked in my phone if there was a solution and a lot of users said that there are 2 solutions : solving it by command prompt or formatting the PC .. I couldn't solve it by command prompt (it wasn't able to find the boot.INI file) so I taked the pc to a guy's store so he could format it.. There was two guy's and one of them told me that practically I "took the soul out of the CPU" and that maybe I needed to flash the CPU and motherboard..but it didn't make sense to me because if I deactivated the cpu, the PC would't work at all, and it was able to open the bios and shoe the window's logo..So my question is : is that true?, do I need to flash? Because I was told that what I did was to damage the window's registry and that it could be solved by formatting the PC

Re install Windows. You should have the original software if you built it yourself, Or if you bought the PC, there should be recovery media or a partition on the hard drive. Failing that, if you have a software key sticker on your case, then you can download the correct version from Digital River.

You changed a config file, you can always fix software by installing the software again.
