Hi guys, here are the parts I have bought thus far... I already had the parts in mind when I went in, but the guy at Micro Center stated that the 770's are a bit better than the 280X's. I picked up my 280X for $310, which seemed like a good deal - but what he said made me hesitate. WHat are your guys' thoughts?

Are you planing to use any aditional software exclusive to each card (for me having game stream for my nvdia shield with a 780 wasa deal breaker) also pricing of the gtx 770 isdropping in price massively near after the release of the 880.

I actually doubt prices will drop to big of an amount but the VALUE of 770 will be way down

It's a subjective thing. Some people would favor the GTX 770 and vice versa for the R9 280X at 1080p. At 1440p, the R9 280X do pull slightly ahead but its negligible really. Sometimes, it comes down to the price and availability of the cards.

The 880 has not been released. You mean the 880M, which is a Laptop GPU (I live in England so it might exist in america but I've looked at Nvidia's american site and it seems to not exist.)

The 770 performs better in some games but the 280X plays others better. I doubt that you would notice a huge difference in game performance anyway they both score close to each other. The 770 seems to perform better with lots of shading and light particles, this is probably because of CUDA cores.

The 880 and 870 have been revealed by nvidia and are going to be released in the near future :)  the pc stock market have predicted that the 700 gtx series are going to have a price drop of about £20 to £70 880m is a totally different gpu for one it's for laptops so yeah the best time to get a gpu will be in 1-2 months
