Hello, so as the name of the thread suggests, I'm curious, I've been reading about something called a "potentiometer", something supposedly located on the back of the GBA that tweaks the screen brightness.
Is this just a troll? Because it sure as hell sounds like one, and I can't find any videos of it on youtube. It's talked about on multiple sites and IGN is the most notable (it's on IGN, can't be fake right?).
I don't want to pop open my GBA and possible break something if it's just a troll. But I really want to play on it, it's just too damn dark, so if I don't have to buy a light for it that would be great.

Any info?

It's real, but it's not enough to remove the need for an external light source.

Okay thanks :)  I planned on getting a light but I figured if I could save some money (and use it to buy gba games from my childhood) why not try?
