Can my Asus m5a99x evo 2.0 use 3 pin fans?

I plan on using 4 fans for my cougar case and i need to know if i should get 3 pin fans or also get 4 pin adapters for them. Thanks!

3pin fans will work fine. When you plug them in, with the key lined up they'll connect with the first 3 pins of the mobo connector, with the "PWM" pin not used. Except for the CPU fan headers, that 4th pin doesn't do anything anyway.
