I recently got a new headset that uses the 3.5mm jacks. I want to plug them into the sockets at the rear of the PC for convenience purposes.
The front ones work fine. However, when I plug in the microphone jack specifically, I can hear static coming out of my headset and I can hear myself talking into the microphone.
It doesn't matter where I place the speaker jack. It's the mic jack that causes the static noises and mic playback.
Motherboard: ASUS P8 H67-M PRO
Obviously using Realtek Audio Driver
