Is Creative Sound Blaster Z Worth Buying? For Logitech Z906 Speakers

Hello
I was Using The Creative Soundcards From Long Time.
Was Using
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio PCI Sound Card

Then i Bought The Logitech Z906 Speakers The Sound With Xtreme audio sound card was Okay Not Good Bcoz The Bass or base (low Freq Sound) Was very Good It was so deep base but the in movies high and mid were not good.

Then I bought
Creative Sound Blaster Recon3D PCIe Sound Card

It Was The Crappiest Card It was of new Series Then my old one but much worse i dont like the osund quality then EQ on TRY studiio are not good the base and all are much worst waste of money

Then I Bought
SOUND BLASTER X-FI TITANIUM FATAL1TY CHAMPION SERIES

It was very good experience with this card on movies and games and all it was nice sound card
but on songs the base is also good not perfect as i like the base on my old x-fi audio card

So here was my story till now The x-fi titanium fatality is dead now i have only 2 options

Sound Blaster Z
i am not sure about this card as it looks same as the recon rd and it also has that THX tru studio
is sound is better in this card this is the only card i can afford in my budget.

OR

I was Thinking to buy new motherboard

Asus Maximum V gene
It has The Supreme FX III sound Chip i dont know it has better sound that sound blaster Z

I just want a good sound card with deep clean base not just like recon 3d

What you suggest? should i buy the new creative sound blaster Z

Hello,

Apparently Supreme FX audio chips are nothing but customized Creative X-Fi chips, so it will have the same quality.

If you want something way over the X-Fi, please consider this:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829132010&cm_re=xonar-_-29-132-010-_-Product

It is among the best consumer PC audio cards on the market; I am using one of its siblings:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829132006&cm_re=xonar-_-29-132-006-_-Product

Just be sure you have a free Molex or floppy power connector.

If you are accustomized with Creative software and don't want to hassle around with another software, buy this...

I can afford That asus one also Asus Xonar Essence STX its under my budget and its avaliavle in my country india
but i for got to mention before recon 3d i used
Asus - Xonar PCI Express
http://geb.ebay.in/g/ImportHubViewItem?itemid=321392649087&Asus-Xonar-PCI-Express-5-1-channel-Gaming-Audio-Card-Internal

and it was not good not in sound not even in the software i dont like its software that there are so many setup if you want to use your mp3 in 5.1ch
i dont know about the Asus - Xonar that you suggested

and for the Creative Labs Sound Blaster Zx i think its the same card as Z but with that volume control pod

Well, the Xonar DGX was an inexpensive solution for those using mainly the headphones (it has a pretty good stereo output stage though).

D2X was a very good sound card back in the days (and still is), a little bit better than the DX 7.1 recommended above; it is EOL now, so less support from the manufacturer.

For converting mp3s to 5.1 from stereo you should use a player with surround sound support (Winamp PRO had a pretty good surround emulation; nowadays there is Foobar).

The ASUS Xonar Essence STX does not have 3.5mm jacks
i have Logitech Z906 Speakers and i need to use that card with speakers
i dont care about headphones that much
i need good sound in music and movies

I am sorry, I didn't realized that Essence is a stereo card (its surround option can be used only with its digital output).

I found another one:

http://geb.ebay.in/g/ImportHubViewItem?itemid=191178679939&FREE-SHIP-Asus-ROG-XONAR-PHOEBUS-pci-e-Sound-Card-w-Exclusive-ROG-Command-

i know about that one also there are many cards avaliable but i need the good one as i stated above with deep base and clean audio
ill choose one from ASUS Xonar Essence STX or D2X

I apologize one more time: Essence STX is NOT a surround card! It outputs only STEREO, so you cannot use all your Logitech's satellites! If you have found an D2X, go for that.

but with optical we can use surround:D

I agree, but any sound card with digital output will have similar quality because it relies on the software to process the audio streaming. Right now you use the Logitech's digital connection ?
