Hi

I have been running my FX 6300 for awhile now but only with the stock heat-sink and fan. I was wondering what would be the best after-market cooling option would be that isn't too expensive. I also need to know if it will fit into my case which is the Corsair SPEC-01. I was hoping also it would mean I would be able to get up-to 4.5 GHz (maybe) on the CPU.

Thanks

I'd say under 50.00 is cheap. I haven't seen any coolers under 50.00 on any of the cooler test sites that could keep an FX processor reasonably cool with 1Ghz OC over stock within specs during load testing. But I'm sure I haven't seen them all and believe me, I'd like to find one that fits those conditions so I can buy it instead of spending 75.00 on a Phanteks or Noctua or 85.00 on a cryorig.
There are no coolers, that I know of, that are going to allow you that kind of overclock on the cheap and still be within realistic thermal limits and stable. If you want to get that high on the OC you'll need a good heatsink and fan or liquid cooling. If somebody feels I'm incorrect, please feel free to correct me.

you can get the coolermaster t3x evo its small, cheap and will fit in your case i would suggest the hyper 212 evo but i thing it would be a tight squeeze in your case.... your case cpu clearence is abot 150 mm and the hyper 212 evo is 150 mm in height ....
