Building a gaming rig

Solution
Cheaper and just as effective.

Cooler, CM 212 evo is more cost efficient

Motherboard, z97 motherboard to utilize the overclocking ability of the 4690k. ASRock extreme4 has plenty of features.

RAM, went with 8gb, because that's really all you need. It's much cheaper. If you want to go with 16gb, I suggest going with the cheapest 1600Mhz cas9 ram on pcpartpicker.

SSD, too expensive. If you want a better one than selected, then the Samsung 840 evo would be good enough

HDD, 1TB is usually enough for gaming, probably won't fill it too fast. if you need more room, you could add on later on.

GPU, your budget should easily be able to fit something better than the r9 270x, plus there would only be 1 or 2 games that'd be able to better...

Ok well im going to put this bluntly. The GPU in this is straight stupid for this budget of a build. What is the absolute top budget you can go up to? Do you plan on using this for anything other than gaming? Do you have specific things you need Win7 Ultimate for (Server or something of the sort)? Do you absolutely need 2tb? Or a Optical drive?

Now you have a R9 290 instead of a r9 270x wich is waaaay better for gaming.
Also you only need 8gb of ram for gaming so you can save money on that.
And I selected a better fully modular PSU.
Oh and a Z97 mobo is better because you will be able to overclock the CPU.

And why do you want windows 7 ultimate?

You have a h97 board, they are not for overclocking, get a i5 4690 instead or get a z97 board , for gaming you only need 8gb, not 16. You can save money by not getting a cpu cooler for the time being, why windows ultimate? what benefits do you get from it? Take offf the sound card and wifi adapter, and get yourself a gtx 780 or r9 290 with the money you saved

I went with a tad bit more expensive case

XFX psu. Cheaper and just as effective. Seasonic unit.

Took out the sound card, onboard sound is good enough.

Went with w8, because you're spending too much for ultimate when everything you need from ultimate will most likely be in 8.1 standard.

This system can run the games you suggested and the only thing I have to say is go for the ASUS N15 instead of the N10 because I have the N15 and my signal can reach my room with no windows in our upper floor when the router is in my mom's room with one window downstairs while my sister's comp with the N10 can only reach the living room upstairs.

You'll never need Ultimate. Get Professional or Home Premium, or get Windows 8 - it's good. Ultimate may sound amazingly awesome but unless it's $100 or less don't buy it. R9 270X isn't fast enough to saturate 4GB of GDDR5 VRAM, that's why I have 2GB model. Instead of G Skill SSD get Samsung or Intel. G Skill is one of the best RAM manufacturers, but not for SSD. Everything else is good.
