I will be getting a new Power supply unit for my pc and I was wondering if it will be a good buy for the price, and if it will be good enough for a Sapphire Vapor X Radeon r9 290 that I have lying around, here is link to the PSU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?gclid=Cj0KEQjwmPKeBRCj4bOro6nBitABEiQABa2FJIONSgt1Yf5IxjYKUn6Mq2pHiyBSF3sv2AIIGKDUkzEaAg-W8P8HAQ&Item=N82E16817438010&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-_-pla-_-Power+Supplies-_-N82E16817438010&ef_id=U9xfBAAABUhR8hHR:20140802085216:s Thanks.

Solution

That will do fine for your build with the r9 290 in it,no need for another psu.

That would be enough actually would that be enough for crossfire. It's a very good choice but overkill for just one card.

What are the rest of you specs?

These would do for any single gpu build,
http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/compare/cooler-master-power-supply-rs650amaag1s1%2Cevga-power-supply-110b20750vr%2Cevga-power-supply-220g20750xr%2Cxfx-power-supply-p1650snlb9/
and a good 550watt would already do with a non overclockable intel.

The Vapor-X requires 600W+ quality PSU,just like a 780 (http://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/6388/sapphire-radeon-r9-290-4gb-vapor-x-oc-overclocked-video-card-review/index15.html )
That eVGA 1000W PSU is definitely more than enough, but its overkill, like Vic 40 and Calnin said.
I would recommend getting one of these three PSUs:
Seasonic M12 II 650W
XFX Pro 650W
Cooler Master V650 650W

Every one of these 3 PSUs are high quality and reliable PSUs
And dont worry, they all can support more wattage than 650W,because they are made out of high quality internals.
Even my Thermaltake Smart SE 630W can support up to 770W (http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/Thermaltake-Smart-630-W-Power-Supply-Review/1481/9
