Hey everyone,
I'm new to pc building, and recently built an entry level gaming rig. My setup is:

AMD Athlon x4 750k trinity quad-core processor
MSI A55M-E33 Fm2+/FM2 micro atx mobo
XFX radeon r7 260x graphics card
Corsair CX 500W power supply
1TB Western digital blue hdd
2x 4gb team elite DDR3 1333 RAM
CFI Bastet mid ATX case

Lately, my computer's been getting a little loud while playing games. I was hoping that an aftermarket cooler for my CPU and an extra fan on the top would help it stay quiet and cool, so I did some research and found that the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO was in my budget and supposedly a fantastic (no pun intended) cooler, but I was wondering if it would fit on my motherboard without cutting into the RAM slots, or any other part of my mobo. If not, is there a smaller cooler that could still keep my system nice and quiet?

Check coolermaster's actual website, it says that fm2/fm2+ sockets are supported.

If you have low profile RAM then you might be able to fit it in, if you have massive heatspreaders then probably not.

Sockets and cooler frames are not the same, but the distances between cooler frame retention holes are the same; also, the coolers use the same retention system (most of the SK939/940/754 coolers are also dimensionally compatible with AM3/FM2 systems, but their cooling capacity don't recommend them).
