Strict ISP, can't host game servers, any suggestions?

Hello, I am trying to host game servers(multiple games) with a high end PC. My main issue on why I can't is because of my very strict ISP, who has assigned me a private ip on purpose(10.xxx.xx.xx) and has given me a 10gb/day cap, therefore eliminating all possibilities of port forwarding. Now I am wondering if there is anyway to bypass that using some company's internet, but my own machine for the hosting. I know that there are hosts that already exist for this purpose, but if I went to them, I'd have to use both their machine and their internet which would really defeat the purpose of my already existing build(why pay more for their pc with lower specs than mine?)

What about buying a VPS?
It depends where you live there are a number of hosting centers that will allow you to place your own equipment. The most cost effective way is to use rack mount servers but some do rent rack space where you could put a shelf in the rack and then put pretty much anything you want.

Unless you are willing to pay close to $100/month many times with a 1 year or more commit it is likely not even worth your time.

It would likely be more cost effective to just pay your ISP to allow you host a server.

Well I didn't think of that one....sorta feel stupid now lol. Do you have any suggestions btw? also, thanks.

A VPS is nothing magical it is just a huge server a bunch of users share.... gee sounds like the old mainframe days just reinvented with a new name.

You can go this route but it pretty much means you toss the machine you wanted to use and build from scratch. VPS is generally cheaper if you do not need a lot of resources to run your server. Mostly cpu and memory are the expensive ones. When you need a lot of dedicated resources you are most time better off with a physical server at some point.

You need to read the fine print very carefully on virtual server contracts. You pretty much get what you pay for. If you pay very low rates it is highly likely you will share this server with many other users or they will have other customers on the same server that pay more so they get priority over you. Many of the very cheap ones are designed to serve up small web servers that have mostly fixed or very small back end processing needs.

https://www.owned-networks.net/

You can get a cheap VPS there with Windows/RDP. Good deal, just wondering what game server are you running?
