So I went browsing through computer stores and I found my friend looking through the video cards. He says he wants a new video cards to replace his crappy integrated one. He's an nvidia fan and he wants the ASUS 750 ti since it's the highest they got ever since the 780 ti sold out. But, since I now his specs are low, I told him it would severely bottleneck. We found a Sapphire HD 7730 and he says maybe he could run it since it is much less powerful. I say maybe a little bottleneck there. I suggested an HD 5450 and he said that's too weak for his gaming needs. The next thing we saw was a GT 740. I said he could run it but I'm not sure.

His specs:
AMD Athlon II X3 440 3.0Ghz
ASUS M2N68-AM PLUS
1 x Kingston 2gb DDR2 RAM
1 x TEAM ELITE 2gb DDR2 RAM
WD Caviar green 500gb
POWER CHOICE 580W PSU w/ 1 6-pin pcie

Prices:
HD 7730: $62.023 (Php 2690)
HD 5450: $29.66 (Php 1300)
GT 740: $29.66 (Php 1300)
GTX 750ti: $96.95 (Php 4250)

Solution
I've checked both the card's specs and searched forums too.. One guy had the same CPU with HD 7970 and didn't notice a bottleneck in latest games (that thread was in of 2012).. However, the HD7730 seems to be fine with that CPU.. If its bottlenecked, get the hell out out of that CPU by overclocking..

OK. I contacted my friend and he says a 6670 is close to a gt 740 and the gt 740 is even better. what kind of bottleneck will he receive if he uses the gt 740 or is the performance the same?
