EVGA G2 750W tick noise while powering on or off?

Hey guys. :)

I'm super picky about every sound that my build makes, and since installing my G2, I've noticed it makes a fairly loud 'CLICK' whenever I power on the system, or it turns off.

Apart from this, the PSU has been silent, and perfect.

It's mounted fan facing down in my H440.

Can anyone else with a G2 tell me if theirs does the same thing? I'm just super paranoid about every noise that comes out of my system, as I mentioned before. :(

Thank you in advance!

Hmm, that makes sense. I was just hoping someone with the same PSU could tell me if theirs does the same thing before I try RMAing it. Anyoneeee?

Thank you for your response! :D

There is only one moderately loud click, as soon as I press the button to turn my system on and right when it shuts down.
You don't get this at all? :(
I'm sure it'll be okay, I suppose if anything else goes wrong I'll just RMA it. I can deal with the click, as it only happens once, and my G2 is perfect otherwise. The fan doesn't even spin up when I push it as hard as I can. :)

Thanks heaps for your reply, man. :)

Thank you! As soon as I saw the review on JonnyGURU, I knew it was one I had to consider. I was thinking of getting an RM-650 instead, but I'm so glad I got the G2. After I saw it was listed as tier one on the PSU tier list, and saw you recommend it for others, I knew it was the one I had to get.

Thanks again! :D

I have a feeling this PSU might be causing my 970 to whine. HWmonitor reports that it's only getting 11.2V on the 12V rail, is it normal for HWmonitor to report this wrong, or should I RMA the PSU? I'm so sick of having to return parts.

Software monitoring is hit and miss with accuracy. We generally recommend checking your motherboard BIOS or using a multimeter for better results. As for the clicking it is not normal for these models and if you want to go through the RMA route send me a PM with the serial number. Also make sure the product is registered: http://www.evga.com/community/myProfile.asp.
