gtx 660 only gettin 59 fps

i have a gtx 660 and ive overclocked it 1137 core clock and no matter what i do i cant seem to get a higher fps can anyone help.. thanks in advance .. mick

Yeap. xD But on your TV leaving it on is also the wisest idea, TV's are horrendously bad at coping with more frames than they can handle and a giant 50" tear is not just visible, it is absolutely atrocious! xD
Vsync or Vertical synchronization is a setting that matches your cards frame rate with your montors refresh rate.
If your video card is producing more FPS than your monitors refresh rate,typically 60hz or 60 times a second, you will get Tearing.
Or part of one frame and part of another frame displayed on the screen.

so is it safe to do? or should i just leave it as is? 60 fps is good dont see any lag just being greedy really :)
