I'm not sure whether or not the purchase of a Corsair Hydro Series H100i will benefit me. I currently get average temps of around 37-40C when doing basic tasks, and around a max of 45 at 100% load with prime95. I currently own a Hyper 212 Evo w/ stock fan. However, would I benefit from a Corsair H100i 240mm or should I just replace the stock fan with an aftermarket fan and add an extra fan for push/pull?

Solution
You should be fine with the Hyper 212 Evo, especially if you're not pushing the temps much higher with overclocks, which is where you would benefit from the H100i, and even then I would go for something else, as the H100i is loud.

Getting the H100i will only benefit you if you are over clocking realistically, Adding or replacing the fans on the CM Hyper 212 Evo won't affect temperatures much, Down to 1-5 Degrees. Your better off spending the money elsewhere.
That being said if you are over clocking, the Hyper 212 Evo may be fine for mild over clocks, But the H100i will get you a nice, High stably over clock depending on your cpu.

ya the H100i is way better at cooling than any fan or heat sync. plus it look way cooler. and is not as loud. and you don't have to clean a damn heat sync. just the fans which is easy as cake. once the cooler is installed never need to take it out to clean. and not to mention the hyper 212 evo is huge and ugly. so there is nothing but gains switching to closed loop cooler. I will never go back to a fan and heat sync

Everyone keeps saying the h100i is better. Well, my 8320 sometimes hits 57 degrees at stock stock speeds. While watching a YouTube video. So. Yea. I couldn't recommend the h100i.
