Hi guys, this build is mostly gaming focused but also budget, around 600$. I figured out a few parts before i asked from help, this guy from reddit (MerkinHD) offered to make a build for me. I just wanted a second, or as many as i can get, opinions on the build he gave me. How many FPS do you think I can get on average on high graphics? Any recommendations for a disk drive, nothing special it just needs to work. Thanks.

I would recommend going for a i5-4440 Instead as its a bit faster. Also what games do you plan on playing?
Instead of the Seagate barracuda go with a WD Caviar Green Drive Or even a small ssd (60gb) for your os and key applications.

The Seagate drive is just fine, and the i5-4440 might be too expensive, so I would suggest that you go with an i3-4360

I don't want the i5, my build is meant to be pretty cheap and decent, i dont want to spend 70$ more for a slightly better CPU, also why do you recommend wd caviar green over seagate? I don't know much about computer parts, just wondering what the difference is.

The WD Green Drive is a faster drive, and more Economical meaning it has a lower power consumption and produces less heat than most drives. Although the Seagate drive is perfectly fine.

What do you think about my build overall? Could it run most game at over 30 FPS? the guy who build it for me said it could run most modern games at 45 FPS on Ultra graphics.

Your build is good, but look at what I put up for you: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/LzH6pg
I was just looking at good mobos and I found an Asrock z97 killer going for 59 bucks which is extremely cheap for a z97 mobo. And the z97 killer has good reviews too. If I were you I would buy it now and buy all the other parts after thinking a little more, simply because of the cost/performance ratio of that mobo currently. You will have very good future chip compatibility and if you choose to upgrade in the future to a k series chip to overclock you can even do that, all for 59 $. I went for a cheaper case and an i3 4360 and an r9 280. Because in the end its your cpu and gpu which matter the most.

Akhil's build is good, but I would recommend an XFX 550w PSU even if it is more expensive. It is a better PSU.

it would be able to run "Most" Games on Ultra, Newer titles such as Titanfall, Crysis 3, BF4 Wouldn't come close, But the majority of games would run fine on ultra 1080p at 30-45fps But don't expect Groundbreaking speed.

Make sure too select an answer if your done. :)
Also a faster system would be with a FX-6300, Il work up a list for you, But its probably the same if not better than the cpu you chose. +its around the same price range.

Edit (Their isn't much point in paying the money for the intel graphics in the i3 you posted when you are getting a discrete gpu.

i chose the case because it was big and has a lot of fans and good airflow (comes with three fans and room for more). and i liked the way it looked

If you are fixed with that build get it and get the r9 270x. Its just that the r9 280x will last you much longer before it starts lagging on games. However get the z97 because its a once in a bluemoon chance. Yoy don't find many days when you can see a high end mobo going for 60 bucks. Its a great bargain. And if you are done with clarifying doubts and compatibilities, choose the best solution and close the thread. People appreciate a lot.
EDIT: The sale is done I think. THe mobo has gone back to its original price of 130 $. So you can now stick with the same h97 mobo.
