Hey guys,
I would like some recommendations for a sound card for mostly gaming. My PC350's I don't think are getting enough power from the MB as even with the dial turned to max and desktop audio settings cranked its still not getting full power I believe.
I'm also looking to upgrade my 2.1 speakers as well in the near future to something with a bit more oomff so I can have better/clearer audio when I play Rocksmith. I play guitar but I wouldn't consider myself a audiophile...but I do enjoy music and clear sound.

My MB is a asus p8z77V-lk if that says anything and since i built my rig I have been using the on-board sound which has been ok but like I said i would like to get the most out of my headphones and speakers.

I've noticed a bunch of cards from both asus and creative have some great reviews and don't break the bank either at around $40-100 CDN. If anyone could give me a few suggestions in the price range it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Hello,

I recommend this:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829132006&cm_re=sound_card-_-29-132-006-_-Product

You must have a good quality PSU and a free floppy connector.

If you also use a good pair of headsets, it is better to go with this, specifically made to drive headsets over 30 Ohm:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829102048&cm_re=sound_card-_-29-102-048-_-Product

And some speakers to complement the sound card:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16836852001 .

You can achieve higher quality only using a standalone receiver + standaalone speakers.

If the price seems too steep, I would compromise to this:
