Hello I was wondering , I have a corsair carbide SPEC01
and I need to add fans to the case. I was wondering which one of these fans are good, CORSAIR AF LED or SP series one? and how should I set up the fan mountings? (By that I mean Front case fans suck in air or blow out? back case fans? top case fan? etc...) and how do i know what position of the fan sucks air or blows?

I'm a bit of a noob PC, so... I'm sorry if this is a stupid question.

There should be an arrow on the side of the fan that points in the direction the air blows. you want two front intake 1 rear exhaust and one top exhaust to start out and look for CFM on the specs for the fan the higher the CFM the more air it moves a lower cfm fan will move less air but is usually quieter.

Think convection, hot air rises, cold air does not. So front and side intake, back and top is exhaust.

I'd like to add, that if the side intake is really high i.e. as high as the CPU, then I'd also use it for exhaust, if I'm lacking one, else just intake or none.

The Corsair AF series is a decent case fan, the SP I believe were for radiators and is sold as a high static pressure fan, so it makes itself useful in positive pressure(where you want more air going into the case rather than out, which is my preferred airflow setup) applications, such as an intake.

exactly or you can use a bottom intake instead of the side. A bottom or side intake isent really necessary most of the time you dont want more fans than you need that invites a lot of dust.

Hehe, sure is, I have a HAF X which is one giant hole, literally, with the neutral or negative, I had to clean it out every month or so. As it is now, I just take a medium paintbrush and dust things off.

SO basically the Corsair SP fans are good for sucking air in and cooling the componants?

Well, that's one way of putting it, what they are good at is forcing air IN, and thus increasing the pressure inside the case. If it's better cooling I'm not sure of, but I'd assume helping with forcing up warm air will help some.
