Im trying to re-assemble a pc that once worked very well.
Why re-assemble? I bought a new case and moved the parts into it, then bought a whole new set of hardware and took the old hardware out.
Now, i want to take the old hardware and move it back into my old case. I did so and booted the computer and thats where all the trouble began. First i had the screen turn black in the middle of trying to look into the bios settings. Judging by the sound of the fans, everything else still seemed to be working correctly.
I turned off the pc and checked whether or not the monitor cable had come loose and maybe caused the screen to turn black so suddenly. When i booted again, the screen remained black and now all the fans were suddenly really loud as they were suddenly running on maxspeed it seems. I tried resetting a few times and now it doesnt even go on anymore. All the fans just blow for a second and it immediately goes off again.
What might be the issue here? Years ago i had a very similiar problem where the pc would turn off after one second and it turned out to be a broken PSU...
