Hi all. I found some similar issues on this forum but the solutions didn't fit my problem. I've built a PC and installed windows correctly on a partitioned drive. However, despite the BIOS identifying the HDD correctly and my setting it as the primary boot device, startup halts at 'press F1 to run setup' and I'm forced to go into Bios and boot manually.

I've waited to see if it boots after the 30 seconds listed in my bcdedit file but it doesn't.

I'd be very grateful for advice/solutions. Thanks.

Solution
Solved! I was getting CPU fan error (although it was mistaken - fan is running fine according to both visual check and temperature monitor) and the BIOS was set to halt if error occurs. Now set to boot even if error occurs until I fix the CPU fan error.

Yeah, that's common isue. I had a similar. I couldn't boot because I had a keyboard failure xD. All this because USB keyboard support was disabled.
