Came home to find my computer in distress. I see bios screen, then black windows loading screen, but when it comes to the blue background load/login screen, there are thickish horizontal lines across the screen of a peppered black/white/yellow/violet color. After this, the screen turns a cornflower blue and remains, refusing to boot any further.

Funny thing is, I can boot just fine in safe mode.

Is this even a graphics issue? I'm a little concerned.

If you can boot and look ok in safe mode, then it is likely to be a graphics driver issue.

So i tried downloading a different driver for it, but of course it can't install in safe mode. Is there a next step?

Tried booting in Low Res mode, to no avail. Only safe mode works, but will not allow me to install drivers. Until someone comes up with a workaround i think im stuck.

UPDATE: I was able to but in an older graphics card and boot normally. I will update drivers and report back as to whether or not it solved the issue with the primary graphics card.

UPDATE 2: Even after updating the Drivers, the primary (better) graphics card will not allow my computer to boot outside of safe mode. I surrender until someone else can help.

Going on day 2. Gonna bump once and see if anyone can help me out. I would call it a dead card and give up except for the fact that I can boot in safe mode. Holding on to hope.
