What usb linked external hard drives will work with my dell latitude d630? Is this my best option to store more video and text files without slowing down my computer?

if you have 100 of gigabtes of files then yes an external hard drive is a good option. pretty much almost any external drive will work like this (http://www.amazon.com/Passport-Ultra-Portable-External-Backup/dp/B00E83X9P8/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1407027394&sr=1-1&keywords=external+hard+drive&dpPl=1)

as long as you have a usb port
