Hey guys, i am building a pc and i still have to wait a week for the final part, which is the graphics card... So i was wondering if i could run my pc to install windows, update the drivers and surf the web without a graphics card? I believe my MB has a built in graphics card or something? It's the Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 board.

It`s up to the CPU if you have integrated graphics or not.
Give us the model of your CPU, and we`ll be able to tell you if you will have the posibility to run your PC without a GPU.

The fx 6300 doesn't have integrated graphics. Your computer will run, but you wont have an image output without a graphics card.

Soo, what you're saying is that i won't be able to see anything on the screen? What if i throw a 4-6 y/o half gig gpu in it just to surf the web? Would it hurt the pc performance wise once i install my proper gpu?

That motherboard has an integrated GPU. Of course you can use it. Just don't expect to play modern games with it.
No AM3/AM3+ CPU has a GPU so some motherboards offer integrated graphics.

Thanks guys, do you think the built in gpu could handle like league of legends, cs;go, mc or something super simple to hold me over until my proper gpu gets here?

LOL.. now you are just being greedy.. it started off with "So i was wondering if i could run my pc to install windows, update the drivers and surf the web without a graphics card?!.. and now you want play LOL CS:GO etc!!!
Not really.. you could get them run.. but don't think you could expect a decent experience. (MC maybe)..
Stick to your original plan and be patient!!!

Those games should hopefully run at a decent frame rate on minimum details. This involves also a lowered display resolution.

You are worrying me.. you bought a load of stuff to build a PC.. but you don't seem to know much about it...
What is on your USB? you trying boot from it to load windows?
Have you checked your BIOS settings to make sure it is set to boot from USB? have you checked the manual? to make sure you connected everything up OK?
From receiving a box of bits.. to "my USB not being recognised"... about a million things could be wrong..

It's fine, nvm.. I restarted the pc and it picked it up. Correct that i don't know much about building pcs. This is my first, but i put everything together my first try and it's all working. The usb was for my wireless keyboard/mouse.
