According to anandtech with full load the power consumption of GTX760 is 318 Watt but nvidia website says total power consumption of GTX 760 is 170 watt so my question is the 550 watt psu is enough or not for GTX 760?

So my question would be is the 170w figure an idleing figure from Nvidia? The 318 im guessing is under load. The next question is how many watts do the other components of your build draw? If the graphics card is drawing 318 at full tilt that leaves you with 232watts to play with.

My guess would be that Anandtech reports the consumption of the whole system, not just the GPU.

EDIT: I guessed right: http://www.anandtech.com/show/7103/nvidia-geforce-gtx-7...

a 550 watts PSU is more than enough, a friend has that GPU with a 550 watts 80+ gold XFX PSU and has no problems whatsoever.
