What kind of ram will work with my motherboard?

Hello looking to upgrade my ram on my desktop

This is my motherboard it's an inspiron 546 (not slim)

I need to upgrade my ram so i can run several programs at once, so my question is what is the best bang for my buck? The only upgrade is the graphics card- an AMD radeon HD 6450, but i don't think it's running right because i have a 300w power supply. I need my computer to run WoW and video editing software smoothly and well so any other upgrade suggestions would help me out- Thanks

That will work fine with your motherboard, but i think that if you want to run video editing things smoothly you will need a pretty good cpu.

I am willing to upgrade processors. Any suggestions? I have a 430w power supply i haven't installed yet if it matters

Buying a whole new build is not possible right now it's too much money :*( (i think), but if i upgrade can't i use the parts towards a new build? And appreciate the list of parts!! I think i will do everything but the graphics card on your list, is that motherboard necessary if i want those upgrades?

If you want better performance in video editing and games, a new GPU will make a bigger difference than a CPU. Problem is better GPUs might be bottlenecked by your Athlon 2.
