I've been thinking of buying a PS2 just for nostalgia purposes but then I realised that I may need some sort of video output adapter due to the old cables and connections.

Does anyone know what the PS2 video output link was? Was it SCART or was that the Xbox?

Composite video
S-Video
RGB
SCART
VGA (progressive scan capable software only)
YPBPR component video/D-Terminal

May depend on what version PS2 you'd be buying too.

I read that the component cables are best if you want the best quality 480p, RGB is the recommended output but will maybe give some shakyness/blurryness when playing in 480p

Don't take this as gospel, because it's been eyars since i even thought about a PS2.
