Hey Everyone,

First of all, I do realize it is a piece of junk, but it has only started acting up after the first month of using it, and only badly this week.

The problem occurs when I play games and my Ping will hop up to 1000 or so. And it will fix itself but occur many more times, and the times are random, but in the same game. I will also experience disconnection from the internet (only on the PC), slowed loading times on the Browser, and overall just instant poor performance that I cannot fix. Last time I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, which worked, but now it is acting up again.

I have had many questions about my gaming PC and I am just starting to become a little unhappy with it. I hope this will be an easy question and thanks to all who can help me. I just need to fix it until I can set it up to where I can wire it with an ether-net cable. Thanks again,

Leopard

In Device Manager (which I have realized), it says my Rosewill adapter is Realtek. Should I download the Realtek Driver or the Rosewill driver?

It won't say that. Realtek is a sound driver. It should've been under Network adapters in Device Manager. Your ethernet chip would also be there. If not, it means your adapter isn't showing up. Check it's fully in the pcie slot.

If it is and it's still not showing up then it's faulty and should be replaced.

Of course it comes up as realtek. They make lots of types of chips they are one of more common wireless chipset manufactures.

You can try the realtek drivers make sure you get the ones for the correct chipset.

Your problem may just be a more generic wireless issue so you might as well try to change the channels and lock the channel width to 20mhz on the router to see if anything helps.

I really do not want to open up the computer for this. I doubt it would have slipped out and it worked for the first month. I will just wait until I can get the ethernet cable plugged in. I did do something in the options that prevented the heavy ping but I still have up to 20% packet loss in WarThunder.
