I am looking to buy a new graphics card. I was wondering if a single r9 290 4gb would run3 1080p monitors on high to medium settings? I will be playing most games on it like bf4, grid 3, far cry 3, tomb raider, etc.
Not ultra, maybe high on 3 monitors, to get ultra on 3 monitors a sli/crossfire would be needed
Do you think it would get 60 fps at high settings on like grid 3?
Maybe, I'd say it'd struggle to get above 60fps really.. no card can handle 3 monitors at max settings on its own but grid 3 is quite demanding also I hear? So maybe medium/high around 40-50fps, educated guess

Also do you think an i5 4690k would bottleneck it or am I fine?

No a i5 4690k canot bottleneck any existing gpus atm so you're fine
