hardware monitor for mac OS

I wanted to check the internal hardware of my friends mac laptop... I know a lot of progs for pc > speccy, hwinfo, cpu-z... but what do I use one a mac? All of those are only for pc, if I am not wrong...

I use iStat Menus 4 on my MacBook Pro, it will work perfectly for your needs. :)

The full version isn't free, but the trial version should be enough for what you need to do.

I misread his post, I thought he needed to monitor temperature, etc.
Great advice.

Click on the Apple in the top left of the screen, then go to about this mac. From there you can press 'more info' and there you will see everything you need to know. :)
