Hi All,
I will attempt to be as thorough as possible but if you need more info please let me know. I just moved and got my internet all set up. Everything seemed to be working great except for one odd problem. Whenever I start a game download in Steam, webpages stop loading in all of my web browsers and I receive a "DNS failed" error. The LAN icon in the bottom right corner shows that I have internet access and my Steam download continues. If I pause the Steam download then my webpages begin loading completely normally again. I have repeated this process several times to confirm that this is actually what is causing the issue.
I am currently running Windows 8.1 and my router is an ASUS RT-N10+ with DD-WRT installed. At my previous house this was not a problem at all. Any help is appreciated!
P.S.- I have already tried turning off webpage prediction per Google's suggestion and I have restarted all of my network hardware and my computer.
