I have an ASUS P8 H61-M LX3 plus motherboard which has a 1 x PCI Express 2.0 x16 slot and 1 x PCI Express 2.0 x1 slot. But the Graphics card I want requires 3.0 PCI. Will it card work with my motherboard? The Graphics card is Sapphire HD7950 3GB GDDR5 W/ BOOST. Or can my motherboard work with any 3.0 cards?

You'll be fine. pcie3.0 cards work in pcie2.0 slots. Most motherboards are pcie2.0 slots. Most cards are pcie3.0

PCIe is backwards compatible. So far no motherboards have taken advantage over extra bandwidth with PCIe 3.0 so there should be no performance loss.

PCIe is backwards compatible, just like USB's. I can prove this, as my motherboard is PCIe 2.0 only but I have a 3.0 GPU.
