First Build, need suggestions for a noob

Solution

Do not get a big case. A standard mid-tower will fit all your stuff just fine.

All RAM chips are made in one factory so all DDR3 RAM is basically the same exact quality. ALWAYS get the cheapest RAM regardless of brand.
Change the PSU. That one is not good. Antec, XFX, Seasonic is what you want.

Get 2x4gb RAM, not a single stick. Also get low profile RAM as that Corsair RAM will cause many coolers to not fit.

I recommend windows 8.1.

For the case, look at Corsair, antec, NZXT, Coolermaster, Bitfenix, and Rosewill for good quality cases.

For the motherboard, get a cheap FM2+ motherboard. No sense getting a crazy expensive board for a dead socket and a mid range CPU.

Also don't buy a $40 wifi adapter and $90 optical drive. First choice for me is to get a PCIe one or find a $20 usb one.

This at most for a standard cd/dvd optical drive.

I have no idea how to quote (I'm on a phone) but what ram brand do you recommend @tinyvoices? Also, the main thing I'm worried about is that the parts won't fit in a case. Should I go for a big case to be safe?
Btw edited the parts list.

Thanks

The R9 270x is short enough it should fit in all ATX Mid-sized towers. Also since you don't have an aftermarket CPU cooler you don't have to worry about RAM clearance or case size for that.
