Can my HP Desktop's GPU be upgraded?

I am wanting to run games a little faster, and while looking into my system information I noticed that the AMD PHENOM X4 9750 Quad Core CPU is being severely bottlenecked by the Geforce 9100 integrated graphics with 256mb of video memory. I've also noticed that this model (NY464AAR) has a 300w power supply, so I'm guessing that will need upgrading as well in order to suit the GPU.

Does HP have only certain GPU's that can be added to the system?

Can I even add a GPU and NEW PSU into the system?

If so, what size of GPU can I fit into the case? (I've been looking at the AMD 7870)

I'm looking to spend around $100-$200 Canadian Dollars on the just the GPU. What will give me the best gaming performance? Anything really is WAY better than to what I've been using.

Games I want to run (I don't care about the texture quality, only the resolution (1080p) -

Arma 2 & Dayz mod
Arma 3 (?)
Standalone Dayz
Red Orchestra 2 (including rising storm)
Payday 1 & 2
Battlefield 3 & possibly 4 (If I'm not dreaming with this system lol)
Just Cause 2
Wargame: Red Dragon and Airland Battle
GTA IV (I've heard this is CPU intensive? Would I need to upgrade my CPU?)
Simcity 5 - I love that game.

Many thanks guys. :)

Is this your PC? http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01748306&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN
The problem with HP and many other OEM builds is that the manufacturer will "lock" the motherboard BIOS so you can't use a card that is not sold by them. They do this for a couple reasons; to avoid warranty claims if the user puts too power-demanding a card in and to make a profit selling you another card.

I'd contact HP and ask what cards are going to work in the system. Have you thought about building yourself a new PC from parts. The folks here at Tom's will be happy to put a parts list together for you if you set a budget.

Thanks for the fast reply. Yes, that is my PC. I'm wanting to build a PC but don't have the money right now, that's why I'm trying to make this fossil do for a bit longer. Is there a brand of GPU's that HP desktops like (Asus for example?)
I'll be sure to contact HP, probably right after I've done responding..
Thanks again for your informative and quick response. :)

It's going to be more involved than that. You'll need to ask them. It will vary by the model of MB and the age of the system. I could make an educated guess, but if I'm wrong, you wasted you money.
