Hi guys I well appreciate any help.

I have a MSI X58A-GD45 motherboard, cpu socket is 1366. Well my pc won't post because of a fried CPU. I also think I burn a pin on the motherboard CPU socket. I wan't to know if in fact i do have a burn cpu pin on the socket.

Here are some pics:

Looks like it. The only way to know for sure is to test with whatever CPU you get to replace it. Personally I wouldn't care if the motherboard was broken because I would use it as an excuse to upgrade.

Looks like something might be stuck in it if anything. Otherwise it doesn't look damaged to me.

Might be careful when you go to plug another CPU in, make sure it isn't forced in there. Just take precaution installing a new one and you should be fine. If it doesn't boot then that's another problem. :p

When I zoom in on the "burnt pin" it looks almost like a foam. A burnt pin would normally be the exact same size and shape with burnt marks around the edges. I'm not sure what it is at this point. I don't think anyone can help you other than in person so they can actually do some kind of test or at least have a better view.
