Does it matter where I put each stick of ram? ASROCK 297 Extreme 4

I have 2 4GB of DDR3 ram,1600 CL8,1.5V UDIMME Finned (ballistix brand) Tried looking in the manual but I don't really understand what its telling me,especially with its dual channel chart.

put 1 in 1st slot nearest cpu and skip the next one and put another one in the next.

Ram dont matter in which slot it is inserted.But a Dual Channel Memory is 17% faster than a Single Stick.Even if you get 4gb ram get 2x2gb so that it would be faster rather than a single 4gb stick.I would suggest get 8gb (2x4gb) so that you dont need to upgrade your ram,And select it as best solution if it helped you
