I have a dead AMD motherboard running with a Phenom II 955BE. I am wondering if it is worth in the upgrade for i5+mobo for the real gaming experience otherwise I would buy a AMD mobo for replacement. Now, I am thinking about buying a R9 280 video card and an AMD mobo replacement to be cheap. I have already looked at the benchmark of the CPUs that i5 is faster. Well, it's about $200 difference. What is your experience? Thanks.
