Is it safe to use an 4-pin ATX connector for 8-pin ATX connection?

My PSU (Rosewill Capstone-450) only has 4-pin ATX connector but my motherboard (GA-B85M-DS3H) requires an 8-pin ATX. Will my system work fine with just the 4-pin? If not, what are my options?
