If I buy adapter, do I get surround sound headset?

Hi...um...no. Lol no. The Razer Kraken Pro is an Analog Headset...meaning its 2.1 sound. You can add software which can "mimic" 7.1 surround sound...but it will never be 7.1 surround sound. That adapter btw is so in case you don't have a 3.5mm jack for the headset and microphone; you could use it through a USB instead.
