Well, if you want the absolute best (performance wise) 120mm and 140mm fans. The new industrialPPC fans from Noctua are the way to go. While most fans spin at 1200rpm, or 1500rpm if you're lucky. These fans spin at 2000, and 3000 rpm. Twice and sometimes nearly 3 times the performance. NOT meant to be quiet at all, these are meant for the highest possible performance.

Oh and also these have a much, MUCH nicer color scheme than most of Noctua's beige/poop brown fans.

Here's Noctua's product page, just scroll down and you'll see the 120mm and 140mm industrialPPC fans:http://www.noctua.at/main.php?show=produkte&lng=en

Oh..and uh...don't expect them to be cheap...

Hello,

Some nice fan controllers:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811999171&cm_re=fan_controller-_-11-999-171-_-Product, max. 0.5 Amp for each channel;

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811981005&cm_re=fan_controller-_-11-981-005-_-Product, a much powerful one (up to 30W/channel, so you can use very powerful turbines - max. 2.5 Amps each) with touch screen.

The best 140mm fan overall:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835608017&cm_re=fan-_-35-608-017-_-Product (very silent, good airflow)

A very good 120 mm fan:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835553006&cm_re=fan-_-35-553-006-_-Product , but it has a little bit of rattle noise at maximum speed;

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181027&cm_re=fan-_-35-181-027-_-Product , a little bit noisier at full speed.

If you want something with more "bling":
